Do all languages have the same parent language?

Maybe.

The observant among you will notice that I pronounced the word “Sanskrit” wrong (I said “sansSKIRT”). Honestly? When I studied the history of English years ago I misread this and got into a bad habit of pronouncing it wrong.

Whatever, don’t worry about it.
